We are so proud to announce that Caron Kipping a Divorce & Separation Coach- Specialist in Domestic Abuse Recovery will be joining us as an exhibitor at the 2021 Find Your Power Event at the stunning Heythrop Park Hotel in Oxfordshire.
Caron can still remember what it is like to be stuck in an unhappy marriage, to go through a difficult divorce and to struggle to rebuild a life afterwards. She was working in a professional environment, doing well at work, but like many women in similar situations, she was putting on a smiley face, caring for others in her job, juggling a demanding job and a toddler, pretending everything was ok, yet behind closed doors she was desperately unhappy.
For 10 years Caron was trapped in an abusive marriage – but eventually found the strength to leave for good and worked out her own strategies and found her own strength to create a new happier future for herself. It wasn’t easy – she had no professional help, only a couple of friends and family to turn to and no understanding of what her legal rights were. As a consequence she lost everything – she lost her home, she was struggling financially and faced with a long and arduous battle through Family Court.
For the past 13 years she has worked as a domestic abuse specialist, supporting some of the most complex and highest risk cases through her work at a local domestic abuse charity. Caron set up her own business after training as a Divorce Coach to offer 1:1 support to women from all over the UK, experiencing controlling relationships, domestic abuse and the types of abuse that often go under the radar such as economic and emotional abuse. Caron helps at any stage from contemplating separation to struggling to co-parent or move on after divorce. Caron helps women recognise abusive tactics, learn techniques to manage their ex’s behaviour, find the strength they need to make good decisions and helps them regain their confidence, so they can start to feel excited about their new-found independence. ‘’Managing your emotional, physical and financial wellbeing while you go through the most stressful times in your life is absolutely essential to getting better outcomes. You can do it alone but it’s so much easier with a coach by your side, helping you through every step. ‘’
Caron is passionate about supporting women and ensuring that their experiences of abuse don’t define them. ‘’It shapes you, but it doesn’t have to be the end. You can learn from the experience, educate yourself so you can protect yourself in future and redesign your life so it becomes everything you ever wanted. My mantra is ‘life is too short to be unhappy’ – it’s never too late to make a change, take control back and find your power again!’’
Caron is now happily married, has 3 grown up children and is a keen advocate of running for mental health benefits. Proof that there is life after divorce and domestic abuse!
